PAYMENT, RETURNS & SHIPPING
Our warehouse will despatch your order on the same business day if it is placed prior to 10am AEST, otherwise the following day. During peak sale periods or after a launch or promotion, however, your order despatch may take a little longer. It's then up to our delivery service! Their transit times in Australia are generally 2-7 business days for Standard Post and 1-3 business days for Express Post, however this can vary.
Please note: selecting Express Postage at checkout will mean that your order is posted using an Express service, however, this will not speed up despatch time.
New subscribers can receive a welcome offer HERE. This is the best way to be notified of any other promotions (and yes, we do secret offers and gifts for our VIP subscribers!).
We currently offer Visa and Mastercard credit card payment through PayPal, PayPal Pay in 4, Shopify Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paypal, Afterpay and Zip.
Yes! We have Afterpay available to both Australia and New Zealand.
Shipping is FREE in Australia with orders $129 and over and standard shipping is calculated at checkout. You can view other shipping options or international rates here.
We do accept approved returns for full-priced items for store credit or refund minus payment and despatch fees that are non-refundable from third-party providers. Sale items are considered final sale and cannot be returned on exchanged. Please read our full policy here.
We use Australia Post’s eParcel service to ship all orders. International orders may utilise a courier service, depending on current availabilities.
Our despatch team is based in a private warehouse that doesn't allow public access, so we are not able to offer pickups.
Orders leave our warehouse in the early afternoon on weekdays when postal services are available to pick up your order. Your delivery may occur on a weekend, depending if Australia Post offers this (often around Christmas).
All orders are sent using Australia Post’s signature on delivery service to ensure that you get your order directly to you (yes, people do take parcels from doorsteps!). If you believe you won't be available for delivery, we recommend allocating your delivery to arrive at a workplace or FREE Australia Post Parcel Locker. Otherwise an Aus Post representative will leave a card for you detailing instructions on pickup from your nearest post office.
Please check your address upon ordering for any errors as as our despatch team is a separate warehouse and we are not able to add to, cancel or change orders once they've been finalised. If your order has been dispatched, you can submit a redirection request via Australia Post.
If your order has been delivered and signed for, yet it is not your signature on the proof of delivery document, please contact Australia Post to start an investigation. We are happy to also look into it if Aus Post allows us to as the sender - email support@bonmaxie.com. You will be able to find your tracking details in the email you received when your order was dispatched.
If there have been no physical scans on your order for more than 7 days, please email us at support@bonmaxie.com so we are able to lodge an investigation with Australia Post.
Please note that during peak traffic times like Black Friday or Boxing Day, during pandemics, natural disasters or service disruptions, scanning and updates may be reduced.

Import taxes and duties are not covered in the price of your order. Some countries require payment of import taxes and duties to release the goods into your country. You will be contacted by your local postal service if import taxes are to be paid and will be directed to where you can make payment. Once payment has been made, your item will be delivered. Please check your country’s import taxes and duties prior to placing your order - tax and duty calculators are available on the Internet. Bon Maxie cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred.
Yes. We do ship to the UK, however we ask that you are aware of your country's customs charges. Unfortunately, Bon Maxie cannot be held responsible for these costs.
As we use a third-party logistics company to send orders, we don't offer gift-wrapping or card services but, rest assured, we've worked hard to have your product packaging lookin' fiiiiine inside the parcel.
PRODUCTS
1. CLEAN: If the bag requires cleaning, first use the Reinigungs Leather & Nylon Cream cleaner first. Allow to dry.
2. PROTECT: Then, apply 2 coats of the Vario Waterproof Spray for Leather and Nylon. This helps both leather and synthetic materials be protected from dirt and discolouration. For best results, particularly for lighter colours, we recommend applying 2-3 coats, allowing it to dry between coats. Allow to dry completely before use (approx. 45 mins).
3. CONDITION: Lastly, to condition your leather bag or wallet, apply the Waterstop Colour Care Leather Conditioner - a colourless cream enriched with jojoba and almond oils to maintain the smooth and supple texture of leather and enhances sheen and colour.
Many other brands will recommend to waterproof as a final step, however Collonil waterproofers don't contain any silicone which just sits on the surface of the leather. With Collonil items, the ingredients get absorbed and waterproofs every layer of the leather, which is why you can apply a cream at the end and the waterproofing effect will still be there!
We have 3 manufacturing partners in China and India that we screened for safe, ethical and environmentally-sustainable practices. We have created wonderful relationships with our factories and are keen to be transparent with supporting our offshore businesses in creating quality, durable and unique products that align with our own values.
The leather used in our leather crossbody bags, tote bags, wallets and some trims of items or bag straps has been sourced from a Leather Working Group audited and gold-rated tannery and sent to our manufacturers after colouring and grading to turn into our products. The LWG is a not-for-profit group that drives best practices and positive social and environmental change for responsible leather production by assessing and certifying leather manufacturers and the auditing process covers energy use, waste, water use and chemicals, as well as traceability.
Our current products use full-grain pebble, smooth (nappa), Saffiano and caviar leather. Our pebble leather (including any patterned or embossed leather) is made from full-grain, top-quality cow hide that has its own unique grain, rather than an artificial stamp. Because of this, each piece is totally unique. The leather has not been split in thickness and has a wonderful strength to it, despite its softer touch. Every piece has been inspected for quality.
Saffiano and caviar leather is a slightly-harder-finish, cow-hide leather that helps make the surface scratch and water resistant. Please view our product care page for more information on caring for leather.
Yes. As a small business, we strive to maintain a reputation in creating quality, lasting products. In addition to this, we are determined to create products made with sustainable practices. As a growing business, we, as well as our customers, are becoming more aware and educated about the need to foster better practices, as well as the methods of being able to do this. It is a priority of ours to review each product to ensure that we are not only proud of the end result, but are proud of and confident in the method in which it has been produced. We use leather sourced from Leather Working Group-approved tanneries which maintain a strict environmental and sustainable standard, and our manufacturing partners have been Sedex and BSCI Audited. As much as possible, we recycle and reuse.

Our unique Easy-Drop earring holders are designed as a way to help you save even more time! Take your earrings off at the end of the day and put the earring backs on - leave a tiny gap between the back and the earring and drop the earring right into the dedicated drop slots. Our metal is designed to be so fine (but not sharp or flimsy, don't worry!) so that you don't even have to think where your earring back goes before you drop your stud earring into place! Alternatively, use the holes provided for an even-more-secure option to store smaller earrings.
After 4 years of working with wood to design our earring holders, Clare (Bon Maxie's founder) kept feeling like there were some improvements to be made.
Looking into various other materials, Clare discovered that all the improvements she wanted to make could only be done using a material other than wood!
Using our custom-made metal for our earring holders has allowed us to negate a lot of productions issues, making quality consistent and products last even longer!
- Our metal is super fine (but not sharp, don't worry!) which makes organising your hoops, studs and hook earrings SO easy
- Our metal allows us to make our easy-drop slots for our adjustable earring holders sit VERY close together to allow you to condense your earrings and create more space to store more! Experiments with wood always snapped:)
- Our easy-drop slots are able to be cut even deeper than what we could achieve without breaking wood, so your earrings in our Easy-Drop earring holders are the safest they can be in this style design!
- Unlike wood, our metal is rust treated and designed to last a lifetime - we still advise to avoid storing in the bathroom as your earrings are not rust treated and it's still better for the longevity of the stand to be away from moisture
- They are sturdier in the post = they get to you in tact and they're easy for you to send as they come flatpacked
- We can design sturdy add-on items to help you organise other accessories like necklaces, watches, glasses and ring collections
- We are able to produce a larger quantity, more quickly! We have sold out time and time again on our earring holders but each holder takes a while to produce as every hole is cut by a laser. Got a lot of earrings? We highly recommend our adjustable Easy-Drop Earring Holders! Our Easy-Drop Earring Holders have a tiered design that lets larger earrings drop behind the row in front! This means it doesn't matter how long your earrings are, you'll still be able to store earrings on the next row!
- You can place your smallest earrings at the top and working your way down, increasing in size

Yes! Our metal earring holders are perfect for pins as they're quite thin - you can even drop them straight into the slots of our Easy-Drop Earring Holders! If you're after brooch storage, we even have our side storage bars that work perfectly. They also work on the back wings of the Easy-Drop Earring Holders.
